Is it possible to customize the remote to point gimbal down and forward using one of the buttons?
Coming from Spark, this was SUPER useful and I would go as far as saying it was a safety aspect when landing.

WTF DJI? That's got to be fixed if I'm not just missing it...

Hi. We apologize for the inconvenience. May I know what specific model of Mavic are you referring to?

I did put this in Mavic Air section, but will state it again... MAVIC AIR.

In a word, No

You can customise a button to reset the gimbal but that simply recenter it.

I don't know why DJI choose to omit it from the MA as it really wouldn't be that hard to implement but the answer is no.

You can set custom key on remote to point gimbal forward but not down.

I'm sorry about that. I just want to clarify it since this section includes all Mavic drones such as Mavic Pro, Mavic Pro Platinum, Mavic Air, and Mavic 2 series. Going back to your question, yes, there is a gimbal dial in the remote of Mavic air. You can toggle that to controll your gimbal.
