My Crystalsky Ultra has been continuously glitching, even with the M2P less than 100' away. I used it with the MPP and it did the same thing; I chalked it up to not running the latest firmware/software, but now with the Mavic 2 Pro, everything is up to date...the M2P, DJI Go4...everything. I've got nothing else installed running on the Crystalsky.

Try using a different SmartDevice.  Make sure it is on DJI's supported list.  If video does not Freeze when using different SmartDevice, then problem is with your CS Ultra.

As to whether your CS Ultra could be defective.  YES!  

I am on my 4th repaired / replaced CrystalSky Ultra.

Dude! CS is not supported by M2P.
