Notes:

• Restart the aircraft and remote controller after upgrade is complete.

Via dji go 4: network disconnected. Tried like 10 times, no luck.
Via assistant 2: says upgraded, going back to the "firmware update" shows v1 as current.
=/

Would be nice to have some more details regarding ''Improved aircraft flight stability''. I'm curious to see what exactly they fixed.

We will probably never know.
They must have either found a bug OR improved the secret algorithm.

New user here so Hi to all..

DJI, what is with the network disconnects updating via the app??  Seems the net is full of reports of the same error, annoying when out to be unable to update via smartphone link!!!!

The one thing that needs fixing is this network error!

I was thinking that maybe it's their servers not being able to handle the high demand. Maybe someone can tell if that's a possibility?

So the long awaited and overdue firmware update is here... oh wait, no it isn't.  The long awaited and overdue firmware update was supposed to include Precision Landing, 4K 60, ability to store waypoint misssions, ability to save various camera, gimbil and flight control configurations, etc.  When will the features everyone's been asking for going to be included?

So, new firmware updates for P4Pro, Mavic 2. But still no update for the Inspire 2 that have been plagued with serious bugs for half a year!!!! Their so-called Professional flagship product!

He is dreaming about 4K60....DJI didnt mention nothing about this....well i want X7 quality on the M2P, its supposed you know!

4K resolution would be good, the SOC can handle that with ease. Now we only have UHD (3.8K). The Mavic 2 is announced as a 4K drone. Unfortunately with this firmware we did not see any improvements to the resolution or image quality. Still no 4KC that DJI have had as a standard for years.

What about CrystalSky DJI Go app?

Upgrade went OK for me....    I'm going to like the ability to enable and disable Vision Systems by using remote controller’s C1 and C2 buttons.   I like to have the vision systems off when cruising at altitude, and then turn the system back on when I fly lower or come in to land.   A simple button push on the controller will make this easier.

Who said so?

Like everyone else has stated DJI never mentioned 4K60 not going to happen. DJI Enterprise Support has already said thermal doesn't not allow it in this smaller aircraft.

I’m seeing a lot of people say that the vision sensors have now been disabled after the firmware update. Anyone else?

Where did you saw that?

Update failed 3 times in a row, using Dji Assistant on desktop PC.
Switched to the DJI USB cable that came with my Mavic, worked like a charm. DOHHH

Just did the update without any issues using DJIGo4, hope to try to fly it the next couple of hours.
Surprised and disappointed they didn't add Waypoints 2.0.

I think you need to check your PC software. No problem here, updated normally with DJI Assistant 2.0.2 for Mavic and two NFZ updates after that.

Hi, After I update new firmware then I cannot see radar display on DJI Go 4 App screen. I tried to turn on and off in setting, but still not display. Could you please?

I think it only displays when there's an obstacle being detected. Try putting something in front of the drone.

You have to takeoff to see it in all the different modes. It works, but disappears about 5 seconds after landing to declutter the screen.

Well first off, I notice that it turns on the landing lights more often. Before it seemed like it had to be pretty dark out.

It sure hovered PRECISELY indoors just a moment ago. I took off from the edge of a marble countertop and it hovered exactly above that. All my other drones liked to drift forward over the edge a tad and then stop there.

When you do this update, be sure to RESTART everything ONE MORE TIME after it completes everything. It also looks like it may have reset the calibration on the IMU and/or vision sensors. However, it seems to hover better than ever now!

You’ll also need to recheck ALL of your settings, as things like RTH altitude and any EXP/gain settings have defaulted.  Battery warnings defaulted. Lots of stuff defaulted, so better scrutinize your settings!


I updated thru a 10.5 iPad Pro (using USB-A connection, of course) with no issues except it needed that extra restart of everything. Otherwise you get weird behavior like forward lights stuck green (should be red).

Cool, the hyperlapse lets you choose a much longer length video (beyond battery runtime?) and dial in a “max speed at full stick deflection” from 2.2mph to 6.7mph. However, the minimum shooting interval is still 2 seconds, which blows. This needs about 5 more steps below that time (1.5, 1.25, 1, .75, .5 seconds) if possible.

Be advised that continuous autofocus is turned off when entering Hyperlapse mode. It will remain off until you manually turn it back on (no matter what mode you go to afterwards).

Thanks, the problem  was the non DJI USB cable that I used. As soon as I used the DJI one it all worked.

Took it out for a 15 min, 3.3 km flight and all looks good so far. Hover was stable even in pretty strong winds and it did a POI circle perfect from 110 m up.

I would like to see lateral vision sensing in POI mode more than any other mode. More so now with the new ease of operation of that mode. After all, that’s all we do in that mode (POI) is fly sideways!

I agree, the System is pretty dam stable already, but i guess there is always room for improvement? hope soon they have  something more along the lines of: "Added capacity to auto fix horizon issues on D-Log and HLG modes" or "Added support to utilize full sensor readout on photos and video"

Hope it is on their TO DO list
