Hello, I have a problem with my drone phantom 3, I can not remove the name of the former owner. how should I do it ? thank you for helping me.

That should be available within the app.


I can’t recall where to look for it, at the moment.

Open the Go app.
On the opening screen, you will see at the bottom right corner the word ME.
Tap that to open a screen where it shows your name, at the right, notice the arrow. Tap it.
Open that next window, where your identification is located.
Now top right corner, see the Pen icon? You guessed it!! Haha
You should be able to write your chosen handle for your aircraft there.
Let me know if you find it all, thanks.

It truly is quite a procedure to mine your way through the various app menu.

I think renaming the drone is only available with the ios version of the app.

The Apple version only, can not change the name with the Androiod app.

The feature first became available on the Apple version of the app but has been available in the Android version for a long time now.

Check the dates of records on the different pages.
Is page 1 your flights with the new name but page 2 for older flights under the original name?

I never thought iOS and Android would differ in this aspect.

By the way, speaking of differences:
When are DJI going to bring back Battery Life in iOS?

Hello everyone, so I have an iPhone SE and the app version 3.1.42. the basic fly safe database version 01.00.01.09

FWIW, I have changed the name in the app, but it does not change it deep down in the log files. Uploading them still results in the original name listed.

Did a small video to change name.
Google Drive video

After you have changed the name go to the flight record page and click the pull down icon next to
Sync cloud and just select the new name and then Sync.

I have done all of that and while the name change sticks in the app, if you upload log files to Airdata (example) the original name is still there.  I had even deleted all log files and did a sync to delete them from DJI servers. Even starting with a clean slate (no logs anywhere), but the original name remains when uploading to Airdata. That seems to indicate the original name can not be truly changed.

I think Airdata depend on Internal serial number in flight log not name.
You can merge drones in Airdata  and also change name of drone.
I'm not sure if you can delete flight from Dji cloud after Sync.
If you delete all log from your device and then Sync it just get the old record from the Dji cloud.
It don't delete anything.
