Today, while out flying my Mavic 2 Pro, I nearly crashed it - luckily it did not hit the trees and returned home unharmed - not even a scratch on the rotorblades...

I want to say you had full line of sight of your Mavic 2 Pro yes? My pants would have been soiled for sure if i saw that on my screen wow lol

Very lucky indeed.  Glad it worked out.  BTW, is there a way to select that the drone will try to go over an obstruction as opposed to try to go around the obstruction?  Just curious.

Did you think to have a VO on this shoot?

Or at least review the area for altitude requirements??   I am HAPPY this wasn't a trashed M2P......although I would bet there are those who have done the same, and never reported it......

Great video. We learn so much from near misses. Reminds me of a tree incident I had last winter. I'm going to look for the footage.

Too bad the side sensors only work on Tri pod.

Almost 2 years ago in the winter (Feb 2017) I was flying my MP over a frozen creek and got too near a tree on the creek bank. It got tangled up with the tree, tumbled dow through it, then miraculously recovered 3 feet above the ground. The props were very damaged, but this recovery shows how smart DJI builds these things.

Amazing footage and seems like the drone faired well Bravo!

Hi, Yes i had VLOS - however, distance although rather close and the Mountains behind played an optical trick on me... after all you see it was only a few feet low ...

I've flown there before and made the circle without troubles, which is no excuse - I learned my lesson
