DJI announced the new Phantom 4 RTK today for the construction, survey, and mapping industries.

Good to see the development continues in either case.

I will see it, use it, and have a need for!

Think I'd look into getting this too. A solid GPS signal in any environment isn't just a need for an engineer doing aerial inspections. I wonder how much it costs...

The retail price of a D-RTK 2 Mobile Station is €3,600. The retail price of a bundle, including Phantom 4 RTK and D-RTK 2 Mobile Station is €7,800.

We have been told here for years that DJI could not release DJI GS app for our P4P plus in-built screens because of android and voilà, they release a mapping app in their P4 RTK solution with an android  in-built screen.

Integrated solutions = full vendor lock-in, planned obsolescence, uncertain amortisation time.

If you don't believe me, ask matrice 210 rtk buyers how the feel about this.

Wouldn't that be great if a Matrice 210 RTK could do this !?

Looks pretty useful, for some I guess.

The drone solution providers like Skycatch and Propeller are adopting the RTK. Pretty exciting.
