Might as well add to the chorus. I applied for the beta within the first 24 hrs...still haven't seen a notice that I'm in...:-)

I’m not really sure how a public beta is any different to installing the release version in the past. Previously DJI would internally test the firmware until its at a satisfactory level, then release to the public as a finalised version. Then the bugs come out.
This time round they did the same testing internally until it’s at a satisfactory level, but unlike previous, they opened it up to a small public sample group to capture any further bugs.
For me this is how they should release all future firmware, but also, I couldn’t use the .200 firmware as the uncommanded yaw drift occurred to often and I considered it unsafe. So installing let’s me see if they fixed that and provide aircraft specific feedback if they haven’t.

No email just checked the assistant and it was there, later DJI Mindy referenced it here on this forum, but I wasn’t alerted that I had been accepted

If it’s an internal beta that would be a different story, in addition there was no NDA for me to sign as well.

I put three sets of Batteries through today and tested for a good hour trying to replicate the problem and can say it’s fixed!! Previously I could get the inspire to yaw uncommanded nearly 100% of the time, now not once!

Rob...when you paid for the license...did you read in said license that you'd have access to future codecs that didn't exist at the time of the license? I understand that folks want stuff for free, and while you may feel like x7 users got something for free, so why not you, but then you didn't spend 7 grand on your x5s system, (including that  premium on the DL lenses) either. It's pretty obvious that DJI's intention with ProRes Raw was to sell more X7 cameras and lenses.

So I'm not sure what the scandal is.

(and yes we all know that Paul from DJi suggested that x5s would be getting PRR in the future...still not sure that them not including it in what mostly appears to be a corrective update now qualifies as a "scandal". But maybe you were just kidding.

Of course I understand they introduced PRR to sell more X7 cameras and lenses.

I'm frankly very tired of DJI pulling the strings on their customers. DJI have had a long long time to fix these issues with the recent firmwares, and Paul had said X5S users should get ProRes RAW. They all have the codebase for PRR - have had it for long, and they still don't open it for X5S users. The licenses are tied to the CineCore - not the camera itself. The functions is in the Cinecore - not in the camera.

Hi Rodger, our engineers will analyze it to see if the accident is related to the beta, but we promise we will be very objective since any feedback is very important and valuable to us.Of course the aim is not to get the points and T-shirt, our engineers have fully tested the firmware but just in case there are still other issues we could not find, therefore, customers' test and feedback are so important to us. The beta is totally voluntary, thanks for your understanding.

Actually I’m impressed camera no longer twitches. So my 8 second long exposure shots are on the money!

Did you fill in the bug report for that officially?  I just got .300 installed and I'm going to go fly here in about an hour to see what I can find also.  I was happy to see the .71 battery firmware is no in sync with battery station :-)

Frank your the second one to see this bug, I filled out this report a few days ago but please report as it’s the only bug I found so far.
Essentially, activating return to home will revert the camera and white balance settings from Manual to auto, and the gimbal mode from follow to free mode. Only could get the bug to occur once after 10 flights so I think it’s rare.

When you say twitches do you mean the camera and/or aircraft use to slowly yaw off centre? Also, what lenses have you tried with the new firmware whilst taking 8 second exposures?

All my attempts trying to re-create the bug have been similar conditions including recording video whilst RTH. Have you been able to re create the bug over and over?

Did a few flights, so far I love it. I did not notice RTH, but I don't actually ever use it, as I try to squeeze as much footage as possible from the flight.
This was done entirely on the .300 software, no glitches, no strange errors. The weather was pretty cold, the first footage is @ 7am, last around noon.I am pretty happy about the .300
