Looking to find the best micro SD card for the aircraft. Notice several post-blogs about the slow rate of write speed 90 being the top, this being slower than the record rate of the drone. I found a SanDisk Extreme Pro microSD UHS-11 128 GB speed up to 275MB with a 100 write speed. Will this be compatiable with the Mavic Pro 2 ?

You need a v30 card for MINIMUM write speeds. The best one is https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/p ... s_microsd_64gb.html

Write speed is the only important variable here, not read speed. That card will get you guaranteed writes of at least 30MB per second (240Mbps) with a max of 90MB (that’s megabytes not bits). This ensures your 4K (even 4K 60fps) gets correctly written to the card with no errors.

That will work. I would get 2 of the 64's instead though. Smaller cards tend to be more error free and also you don't want to be flying around with yesterdays videos just in case you lose your drone. The biggest thing though is beware of where you buy from and test the speed using Black Magic before you use it. There are getting to be many 'counterfeit cards' out there. Stay away from Wish, eBay, or even Walmart.

I actually purchased two, the one I posted was from BH Photo. My concern was if it would work with the new Mavic 2 pro. Watched a video earlier from someone who post often saying 90 is the highest write speed, this one has 100 ?

I know DJI promotes the Sandisks because they've been tested by DJI and proven, but I'd just like to make people aware of this Delkin card. It is my favourite card. I use it in my M1P and I have a buddy who uses it in his M2P with no issues. It's write speed is much more than fast enough, but where it really shines is the read speed: 300 advertised (225 actual) It transfers videos to the computer twice as fast as any other card I've used. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/p ... 64gb_microsdxc.html

You can find some memory cards that'll work in the Mavic 2 here.

As for size, a 32GB (or even 16GB) would be perfect if you plan to swap cards after each flight. A lot of people do that so they don't lose all of their footage if the drone is lost or the memory card is damaged.

It’s not about the maximum, but the minimum. Hence the V30 cards. Those work BEST with the device WRITING to them. It’s like insurance that your data is properly written to the card EVERY time.

It’s not about the read speed, which is what they’re selling (the 275MB “transfer speed” thing). They make a V30 version of the card you bought, too. Those are pricey.

Hope this helps your Mavic adventures be trouble-free.

Good advice on the 2 x 64!

I got one of these (actually bought it at a higher price than it currently sells) --> https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sandi ... 2060353.m2749.l2649

It works flawlesly and I think the price per Gb is OK.
