Was in the middle of shooting a nightime long exposure video project. Apparently the new update has broken being able to shoot Hyperlapse long exposure. Once you select your desired camera settings (mine was 2 seconds shutter, 400 iso, 7.1 aperture), then select “hyperlapse” and it reverts back to auto settings. No matter what you do. Only in “Free” mode does it save your camera settings. Totally useless if you want smooth movement. Please fix DJI.

Hi Goldni007, thank you for reaching DJI Forum. We do apologize for the troubles you had recently with creating Hyperlapse. Currently, the Circle, Course Lock, and Waypoint Hyperlapse modes’ slowest shutter speed is 1/30. As the optical measurement technology used by the Mavic 2 requires continuous image information, so if the shutter speed is too low the video bitrate will stop, causing the visual measurement to fail; therefore the minimum shutter speed is limited to 1/30. We will keep you posted on our website for future updates. Thank you.

Yes but lowering shutter speed was allowed with previous firmware?

Hi Fre Mo, you can only lower down the shutter speed in free mode hyperlapse. The Circle, Course Lock, and Waypoint Hyperlapse modes’ slowest shutter speed is 1/30 only. The previous firmware is the same as the current. Thank you.

I was in the middle of shooting 2” & 3” long exposures with Hyperlapse. The update took that away.

This was shot with SS 1/4 in previous firmware (Hyperlapse, Course Lock). There was no possibility to change SS directly in hyperlapse mode, but if you set exposure in photo mode switching in hyprlapse does not change settings. Now this back door is closed

What a load of horse crap!
Slow shutter is one of the best ways to be creative with hyperlapses.
Its not shot as a video, but multiple exposures.
Time to hire some professionals, or start listen to them???

Just use the 5-way button to change to whatever shutter speed you want.

I could not get 5D button to work but I found another work around that  works in-app. Maybe Matt from Blue Mantle Films is using iOS, I'm using  Android v4.3.2

When you're in picture mode (manual settings shutter priority) not video  mode set your settings for example ISO100, aperature, 1/4 shutter then  hit AE to lock it, switch to Hyperlapse your settings will be locked in  for all Hyperlapse modes.
