Dear DJI.

I need to replace my batteries and the new ones I've purchased are not compatible with the FW on my I2.


We need a FW that works.


Please can a moderator give us an insight into timescales in-which this problem will be fixed.


This is a serious isssue and I think we deserve a little respect. Not sure what your view is?

Yes, but now we get points!

They do say that any crashes that happen because of the beta test will be covered.  So there is that.

Hi, sorry for the inconvenience. May I know what specific battery did you purchase? Did you purchase it separately? May I know what challenges did you encounter with the latest firmware? Please let us know for further help.

Tony, basically all TB50/55 batteries out there should be compatible with both Inspire 2 and Matrice200 series aircrafts. Therefore batteries FW must be finally identical for both and recognized on power up with no issue, no matter which aircraft they're used on. How difficult it can be ?

Hi Tony.

My Issue that is that I'm currently running an old firmware.

The batteries that I've purchased have a new FW that is not compatible with the FW on the one that I'm running.

I see no point in updating the FW on my I2 until I can see that one works as good as the one that I have.

This means that I can't replace my failing batteries.

I can't risk all the problems that other pilots are experiencing as I need my bird flying.

DJI should think about what they could potentially do to our reputation, not just as professional drone operators but as ambassadors of DJI products in a professional environment.

Hopefully the new FW will be released soon and I can update safely.

Thanks to all the work done between DJI and pilots to test the new FW. It's good to know the company cares and is proactive in making an excellent product great again!

The firmware version V01.02.0300 can not be found on the DJI website but is now available on my DJI Assistant 2 software. And I am not a beta tester ...

I wonder if the issues that the beta testers reported have been addressed?

The main concerns being stability and gimbal yaw / horizon drift?

Yes, you're a beta tester. We all are. You just don't know that ...

If they've released the new FW without addressing the above issues then thats bad news.

I thought and still hope that we are working towards a FW that works well - Not a FW that doesn't have potentially disastrous consequences 'so we'll release it anyway'..

I think beta testing is a great idea to sort out any problems to be found in the field but whats the point if you don't try and fix them? It's like saying 'Well you know the issues so it's up to you if you want to update or not'.

The point is clearly to fix those issues before the beta is released to the public. if they can't be fixed then don't screw with the FW in the first place and then refuse to allow us roll back to the previous one which may have worked if your lucky!

Am I a madman or does that make sense?

DJI, please spend a bit longer to fix the issues addressed by the beta testers.

I dont see this on the Assitant, any one know where I can get this, I wouldn't mind testing it. from some users sounds like it is a good update. stable and no banding in video...
