A last minute photography trip to the Lake District, my polar pro filters hadn't arrived so didn't really put much time into flying the drone whilst there but here's some footage from some tests of the active track and seeing how far I could push the dynamic range.




As the sun set a beautiful and calm evening at lake Buttermere unfolds. Taken on the Nikon D850.

The Lakes are amazing, I got real lucky with the weather as it was supposed to rain quite a bit but only saw a few minutes of it. I'm hopefully there again next weekend too, weather permitting!

lol yeah love a close one! I was about to fly over a stream through 10 metre tunnel but the controller lost connection due to a dodgy cable, the tunnel is about 2 metres high / wide, that was really close!

Was just there last month, what a lovely video well done.

Very nice.  Loved the music, too.  What was it?

And still being new to this - the sounds of the wind and the creek - from drone or from some other source?  I known I've seen something about audio but what does the capturing?

Thanks, the music was something I downloaded from Epidemic Sound. It's a £10 a month subscription service. The sound effects of the wind and stream were also from them and added afterwards along with the music.

One of my older cameras could capture "sound memos" so that I could capture church bells or cow bells and flowing water sounds.  That feature is gone in my newer camera so even if I don't want a video, I will sometimes film one just for the background sounds to add to my dvd-edited "slide show."

Thanks, I guess the only way to do it is to add the sound in post as the drone makes too much noise to have onboard mics.
