I had a new idea for a thread and decided to compare common drone pet peeves.
However, this could also be a thread that possesses the potential to update Spark 1 or improve Spark two.
Anyway, I hope everyone participates, feel free to list them. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR TIME.

Here are mine:
1) low battery warning
2) limited two second shutter speed
3) Temporary loss of signal
4) Multiple recalibrations when it is not required

List em' ALL.

Love the spark

1. would love more battery life
2. Separate go4 apps one for editing and one for flying - too much bloat
3. Waypoints and headless mode

Great reasons! I totally forgot about waypoint and the edit. Can't wait to see what others may think of.

My Pet Peeve is the remote won't pair with the drone!

Unexpected firmware updates

Turn my baddery into a goodery - longer battery life
Also Go app separate the flying from the editing
Wifi interferance -can it  not be shielded?

Mine in no particular order.

1. Get rid of that annoying “Fimware Update Required” notification.  I tried newer firmware which resulted in alleged/unsubstantiated compass and GPS errors. I’ve been running on 701 for 99% of the time I’ve owned the Spark and never had any issues and I’ve flown it in what many on here consider to be extremely hostile environments.

2. Allow user selectable “ATTI” Mode.

3. Make provision for adjustable rate and expo.

4. Selectable video frame rate, 60fps/50fps would be nice, even just 25fps would be acceptable.

5. Increase the 5.8GHz channel capacity. The vast majority of Android users in Europe cannot access channels 149 and above for RC to phone communication hence the reason there was  such a lot of shouting for a working OTG solution.

Button to make selection CE and FCC would be nice

User selectable ATTI mode.
If find it utterly amazing it's not already there.
However, based on experience here I see little chance of DJI letting us do that.

ATTI mode is what you get on cheap drones. You buy DJI so you don't have to fly in ATTI mode.

Yeah, making any further improvements will make it superior to the MA and they are probably preparing for a Spark 2. thanks

Agreed, but it should be available as a loss of satellite is inevitable at some point. Therefore, when the drone is in VLOS, saving it is a possibility as it will teach beginners and professionals alike on how to fly a drone in ATTI mode. thanks

These "get a cheap drone to fly ATTI" respondents do not seem to recognize how useless that is. A cheap drone which is likely considerably lighter than the Spark will NOT handle in the same way. It's like practicing to fly in a Cessna then believing you can now fly a 747. That is simply ludicrous.
To not allow manual ATTI on the Spark is VERY short-sighted on the part of DJI.

My pet peeve is how hard the thing is to get setup!  It took me a couple of days to get the phone to connect to the drone and a couple more days to get the remote to work and pair with the drone!  The remote is supposed to be able to connect to the phone with a USB cable but I haven't got that to work yet, all it does is charge the remote's battery from the phone, running the phone down, which is something I don't want it to do!
BTW, the reason the remote wouldn't pair is because the sticks needed to be calibrated.  It thought the throttle was always part way up so it wouldn't pair and just beeped constantly and since there's no LCD screen it can't say what's wrong.

I would also like to switch to ATTI but I agree DJI will allow that.  It would be nice to train on ATTI some with the Spark so when it switches I feel more confident bringing it home.

I fly “ATTI/STABILISED” mode with all my other cameraships as this provides the smoothest and most natural looking transitions. I only use GPS positioning for stationary panning and still shots with lengthy exposure times, or those occasions when I need it to hold position while I need to do something on the ground.
