Hi all, just bought a M2 Pro and been flying around all day and have noticed that suddenly, when I get any sort of wind notification, the gimbal will either drop or raise. This is not a gradual thing, it will just ‘twang’ upwards or downwards. I’m not sure what this is as I’ve never seen it on my old Mavic or Phantom.
As far as I can remember, this seems to happen when I turn into a headwind but I cant be sure.
I called this effect the "nodding camera" ;-)
It happens a lot in S mode but I also had this in P-mode, esp. with some head winds.
People say it's normal and the Mavic 1 does it also.

Thanks Eric, your issue looks similar but my gimbal does not return to position like yours does. Not sure if that has any significance though!

Mine didn't return either.
I just moved the camera up each time by using the left dial.
Hi all, I have similar problem with gimbal, maybe connected. I've flown mavic 2 pro in minimal wind (none to few kmph), yet still my gimbal did this: www (dot) youtube (dot) com/watch?v=GpZ-DYDDWfs . My m2p is 3 days old.

Problem seems to have sorted itself out. I had the 30 degree upward view turned on and was flying into a large headwind. I guess the craft tilted itself so much that it was out of the range of the gimbal!
I took it out today and absolutely no issues!
I had similar issues but after I learned that there is a limit to how far you can rotate the gimbal upwards I now know how to deal with it. If you rotate the gimbal upwards to a certain degree (close to the 30 degree limit) the aircraft automatically centers the gimbal back to level. My MP1 oes not have this fail safe but the M2P does. Again; once I learned this, and I now know about the failsafe I now keep it within the limits and everything is fine.
