Wondering if most everyone has updated to the .0500 and associated controller FW.  I always see various youtubers advising against updating, but that doesn't seem to be, necessarily, the best plan. If you listen to them, you'd still be at the first version.  Guess I was just wondering, from other Air owners, whether the .0500 had any glaring issues.  thanks

I've had a persistent IMU calibration popping up on me, every time I try to fly anywhere other than my front yard. Never experienced this with any of the former FW updates.

No issues so far, been flying a few hours so far.

Given that you can type I assume you can also search and read too?

Seems to be good so far. Was using the Air on a survey task and flew a new fibre route out to 1km away with video with no issues at all. Moderate breeze conditions upto a height of 300ft. RTH tested from furthest point and landed within 1m of take off point. Got to be happy with that.

Haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary yet.

Do you still see these after you’ve done IMU calibration on a level surface ?

Yep, every time I try to fly from my drift boat.

No problems at home.

Very frustrating.

I've had several flights since updating to .500 on all occasions  I have had poor signal issues (even though drone is just 60-80 m directly above with visual line of site, and have also had several random pan movements (with no controller input) one in the middle of an auto  panosphere (which ruined the shot)... also issues/delays in switching between photo/video mode (probably related to poor signal).

I've not been game to fly more than 100m or so away in case I lose control altogether.  

I've just refreshed 0.0500 on the aircraft... and also noticed that I wasn't on the latest update for the controller... which may have been the root of the problem, but I have now applied it and will test again over the next few days

I'll be interested to know if the weird stuff you're seeing goes away with updating the controller.

Seriously, you'll only know how it's going to affect your bird after you install it.  While most folks don't have any issues, it's not a guarantee, particularly with this model.   Just be sure to use DJI Assistant 2 for the update and reset/re-calibrate everything.  It's your best hedge against any potential problems.  Good luck.
