Thanks for all the help on the forum. I am a pool installer and I recently purchased a Mavic 2 pro and shot my first video. Please take a look at it below and let me know what you think. This was my first time ever flying a drone or editing a video so I'm looking for any and all pointers on how to improve in as many ways as possible, both filming and in post.
Video was shot in 4K, 24fps, HQ mode, D-log, H.265
Very sunny on day of filming. On and off winds. Used a polar pro ND16 polarized filter to get shutter speed to 1/50
Used Davinci Resolve 15 to color grade and edit footage. Applied a Specturm Grade lut and played around with the log wheels until the picture looked good (to my rookie eyes). Also had to add a lot of color boost.
Please let me know what you think can be improved upon. Thanks again.
Hi RickThePoolGuy. Thank you for purchasing a DJI Mavic 2 Pro and for sharing you first video with us. It was a awesome video. We will be waiting for more post for you. Thank you for supporting DJI.
I really liked the modest pools and ESTATE!!! Seriously, nice work.
For a first video - well done. I would not even post anything I have shot. I think I would have preferred a bit slower motion and panning. At about 1:10, it slows down a bit and I preferred that. I did like the speed of the "spiral" over the large pool near the end.

Thank you. I thought about the speed after I was done. I noticed I was barely pushing the sticks and it was still going too fast. I'm going to play around with the tripod and cinematic mode on my next shoot. Thanks again.
