Hi Everyone, As it has been a bit windy here lately, We have only managed to get in two flights with the Mavic Pro in the past week, so it has given us the opportunity to test my new toy the Ronin-S as a filming and stills platform. We distanced ourselves away from the Ronin-S using the app and field monitor app to operate it and captured both film and stills, with a moderation of success.
Whilst the Ronin-S is an exceptional piece of kit, it is restricted slightly through focus as the focus wheel has not yet been dealt with through firmware. It can be a little bit hit and miss foccusing from a remote location and required a little planning to focus on the subject i wanted prior to shooting. Other than the focus it worked a treat, the only issue we had was with the field monitor app, it proved to be a bit laggy.
