5hrs and tried every combination possible. Something is not right with latest FW for me.

Aircraft has 3.0 installed now but on the app it's warning me the FW is inconsistant. If I slide the app or login to DJI assitant 2 it fails at the last mintue.

Please help, I have a job in the morning.

Aircraft aside, FW of several other parts of the system must be upgraded as well: batteries (all used pairs), RC, DJI apps (Go 4 and/or Pilot), camera/gimbal. Confirm related informations on About page of DJI Go 4 app with .0300 beta FW release notes.

Hi and thanks. Yes, everything is upgraded as per release notes. Aircraft won't downgrade to .2/.1 now either with or without X7 camera fitted.
To confirm, currently has .3 installed but app is stating a FW mismatch. If you slide to update it fails. I've tried doing this via a mobile (GO4) Crystalsky and DJI assistant 2. Fails everytime.

That was my first thought.

I would hope after 3mths of waiting this update would actually work correctly or closely??  We are over £20k with this kit and has never worked correctly since day one.

I would do following:

Are you able to perform a firmware 'refresh' via DJI Assistant?

To avoid WiFi Interference between PC/Mac and Inspire, connect PC/Mac via Ethernet cable to the Internet.
Retry FW refresh - after that, try downgrade to .200
Try to exchange the USB data cable between aircraft and PC/Mac to a brand new one (Data cable - no charging only cable)

Uninstall DJI Assistant 2, manually remove all folders related to DJI Assistant / reboot machine.
Install Assistant again - Try again (refresh, then downgrade)

if previous steps fail, use CrystalSky.
Install the new released 'Pilot app' vers. 1.01 (don't forget to login with your DJI ID)
Try to solve the FW mismatch with the Pilot app.

Try to use a different pair of batteries.

Do you have access to DJI Battery station? If so, update a battery pair via Battery station (Latest firmware requierd of Battery station)
Insert this pair in Inspire, startup aircraft, still a mismatch?

This has now finally worked using an iphone 7 - Go4 and USB from phone to aircraft. I did this 4 times earlier so maybe DJI fixed the bug within the last 2hrs? I'm all updated now. Thanks for everyones help.

Keule, DJI Pilot app on my CS is 0.6.3. Isn't the last version? Perhaps you're talking about iOS version?

DJI released a few days before the final 1.01 version.

That version can be found on DJI's website in the M200 Enterprise section.

Thank you, Keule. Now I have to figure how to update DJI Pilot app on my CS.
EDIT: here's how:
1. power CS
2. hit Aplications at the bottom of welcoming screen
3. hit Browser
4. type https://www.dji.com/mobile/matrice-200-series/info#downloads
5. scroll down to Android sticker
6. start downloading, push center button on CS side to see the progress
7. once download complete, go back to main page>Explorer>Internal Memory>Download
8. hit the related file (127.32MB) to start installation
