To provide users with a more stable device connection experience, we have fully updated the iOS’ MFI hardware connection service, speeding up the connection to the remote controller and making it more stable. Also, the devices will be more stable when hot-plugging.

As iOS’ MFI connection is only available for iOS 10 or higher, DJI GO 4 v4.3.4 and after will no longer support iOS 9.

For iOS users, it is recommended that:

• For iOS 9 users, please update the device to iOS 10 or higher. So you can use the DJI GO 4 and enjoy a better experience.
• If you still want to use iOS 9, then you can download DJI GO 4 v4.3.3 from the App Store and use this version.
• If you purchase a Mavic 2 series product after 5th November, it is recommended that you update the mobile device to iOS 10 or higher, and use DJI GO 4 version 4.3.4 or higher. Users of iOS 9 may be affected as they won’t be able to use newer versions of DJI GO 4.
  

To ensure DJI GO 4’s performance on supported Android devices, the lowest applicable version will be changed to Android 5.0. Android DJI GO 4 v4.3.4 and versions after will no longer support Android v4.4 or prior versions.

For Android users, it is recommended that:

• For users of Android V4.4 or prior, please update the system to Android 5.0 or above. So you can use DJI GO 4 and enjoy a better experience.

I hope DJI keeps complying with Google's request:

Starting today, November 1st, all app updates uploaded to the Google Play Store must target at least API level 26—meaning that your app needs to start targeting Android 8.0 Oreo and higher if you want to roll out a new update to your users, as per the new Google Play requirements. If your app is still targeting Android 7.1 Nougat or lower, you won’t be able to upload a new APK to Google Play’s servers, and you won’t be able to release updates. Keep in mind that we’re talking about targetSdkVersion and not minSdkVersion.

can you confirm if this new software will work with a Samsung Galaxy Tab2 (T713) Wi-Fi version with Android 7.0?

Samsung are one of the biggest Android platform manufacturers.




Does it not make sense to test the software on these high selling Android platforms?

I'm now getting an announcement about the V4.3.4 update and iOS version required when opening DJI Go 4 V4.3.3 (iOS).

No update available as yet (iOS).

You mean Tab S2 i take it? and it should do cause its higher than android 4.4, thats if they dont add more resource hungry additions, i fear the S2 is get closer to the cut off point, now, if you ARE on about the Tab 2 then my prayers are with you and any issues, well,  you bring on ya self :p

Hi Rigger73, for Android devices, it is recommended to update the system to Android 5.0 or above. So you can use DJI GO 4 and enjoy a better experience. We've tested some mobile devices that the stability can be ensured. For some mobile devices that not on the list, you may test at your end before making the decision, thanks for your understanding.

Boa tarde, mandei o Mavic Pro a 230 metros de altura e o RC já perdeu sinal.  Isso é normal?

It's here now on the US side, too bad it's raining today

Was able to sneak a flight in in between rain storms, so far so good with the new app version.

and again no waypoints, slowly I have the impression dji wants to fool us with these updates.
1. changes the geo zones color (why and for what)
2. optimizes some features for better user experience (which, or is that just dji blabla)
dji finally give us the promised waypoints mode !!!!
after that, updates can come for whatever.
I'm really very annoyed by this strange behavior of DJI.
