Hi,

is there any solution for making panos with direct sun in front of the spark?
See this example, the result is a big white spot around the sun.
I am no PS expert so would prefer some kind of setting on the spark which helps, but if there is a solution in Lightroom that is welcomed as well

Thanks!

unfortunately there is no easy way of fixing this.
you could adjust camera setting while facing directly to the sun to avoid the huge white blob - lock the settings and do your panorama then.
of course you will have a way darker image overall but you can try to hit a sweetspot so you have smaller sun glare and nice detail.
that kind of panorama can be adjusted easier in lightroom.
in photoshop you could probably get away with some brush-/featherwork reducing the size of the glare, but it is difficult to get "natural looking" result (especially with the huge reflection on the water).

Try to do the Pano/Sphere twice, one with "the right" setting for the sky, one with the right setting for the sun
Mix the two Panos and hope it works

Thanks for the suggestion! I will experiment with the settings and see if it works.

Hi Vasi, thanks for reaching DJI Forum. We do appreciate sharing your photos here. Sad to say this really not easy to adjust or fix in any photo editors available because this will compensate for the quality of your photo. Try to avoid the brightness of the sun by lowering the shot or composing the pano shot avoiding the sun to its left (as I can see in the photo). Anyways, this picture is perfect for flying indeed. Have a safe flight always. Hope to see more photos from you Vasi.

You could always try filters. Some go as low as ND16. If not, use manual exposure and shoot two photo's exposing for the two elements, then merge them.

shoot on manual, set correct exposure on the sun, then lock AE, shoot sphere.
You can set lock exposure on a button

If you post using Kuula you can get some interesting effects using the sun

Here fixed it. JK.
No really this is a common problem with Spark panos. I've combined two pictures together in the past. One with the sun overexposed, and one with proper exposure. But then there's lots of photoshopping involved. The Mavic Air and other drones lets you capture panos in DNG format (lossless raw image format), but unfortunately the Spark does not. So it doesn't leave you a lot to work with.
