Hi, thanks for reaching DJI Forum. We do apologize for the troubles you had recently with the flight simulator. DJI Flight Simulator needs to run and supports the Win10 64-bit operating system.
System requirements for the DJI Flight Simulator:

1. Minimum System requirements: Processor: G4560; Graphics: GTX 1050 Ti; Memory: 16GB RAM; HDD: 80GB Free

2. Recommended System requirements: Processor: i5-6400; Graphics: GTX 1060 or GTX 1070; Memory: 16GB RAM; HDD: SSD+80GB Free

3. Optimal System requirements: Processor: i7-7700; Graphics: GTX 1080 Ti; Memory: 32GB RAM; HDD: SSD+80GB Free

Another user said to make a new folder named DFS on your hard drive directory and modify the install location to the new folder. i did this and its working for me now. currently downloading the second half of the files

YES ! Thank you. It was trying to install in drive D, but I only have drive C. New folder created and install redirected. Now downloading.

And I've written to DJI Mindy but not received an answer.

Anyone have an answer, suggestion,? I've been working on this now for at least a week, probably longer.

I have downloaded the simulator file 7 times now.

Same error...on two pcs that meet or exceed their requirements for installation and running the DFS. Overriding driver unsigned, installed...still no joy. What crap is this they have out there to frustrate their users?!

I just deinstalled the sim

Deleted all Files in :
User-AppData-Local-DJI
User-AppData-Roaming-DJI

Redownloaded the instaler from another source and installed it

It worked for me

It's caused because DJI recommend you to have SSD+HDD. So, SDD is C:/ drive and D:/ is where the installer prompts you to do the installation. Just change de directory to C:/ drive.

Mismo problema al instalar el simulador, mi computadora supera las características mínimas exigidas.
error 003_005 {000/0118}

Solucionado, como habéis dicho, después de descomprimir el archivo en la carpeta correspondiente en C: , antes de instalar, hay que modificar la ruta de instalación porque por defecto te pone D:\DFS y hay que cambiarlo a C:\DFS.
Después me ha dado otro error (algo más típico) que me faltaba un archivo (x3dadio1_7.dll), pues nada a descargarlo de internet y copiarlo en las carpetas de System32 y SysWOW64, dentro de la carpeta Windows, y solucionado también.
Por cierto, ¿ sabéis alguno si funciona el mando del DJI Mavic Air 2 para este simulador ?, me parece que no, así que todo esto no me valdrá.
