Yep, that's the way to go. I've posted my experimentation with this on a few threads here ;)
An interesting point about the Assistant version. Some people report that they can't make MP's RC to work even when running the driver EXE. Might be wrong the Assistant version in play.
Hi, thanks for sharing this information. Unfortunately, the Mavic Pro is not compatible with our DJI Flight simulator, however, we've forwarded the concern from one of our customers if the DJI Flight simulator could possibly support the Mavic Pro.
Has anyone figured out how to make the Mavic Pro RC work with the Simulator without to much work? I don't have an Xbox360 or any of them gaming devices. Not my thing.
Hi rolling56, what I already wrote ,use your mavic pro RC.
download an old assistant 2, I found it here: https://ufile.io/qnwm4
and install.
install flightsim, do not run yet, go to flightsim directory and run: dji_usb_5512_64_108.exe
start up RC and connect to PC., RC will be found.
start flightsim and fly.
Easy or not?

got this all going working with my mav pro 1 controller but to be honest needs loadsa work. the controls don't respond anything like mine does on a true flight, i find the right stick doesn't work as it should and it tends to wander near to like a drone without GPS. its a real shame its not a true representation of the way the mav pro1 actually flies as I'm trying to get my wife interested in having a go but when you end up crashing in to so many buildings because it has a mind of its own, to my wife I know it would be like watching a horror movie and she would never fly.looks nice graphics are fairly decent but not 100% amazing but good enough for this.as i said before my pc is more than able to cope with these graphics so not a pc issue but a programming problem. the left stick works ok but no accurate and the right stick may as well be nonexistent as wonders all over the place and doesn't respond fast enough.
