When I seen the phantoms been dropped so fast the phantom 2,4,pro what ever I know they would faze out the older ones with programming. Just like the older iphones . We just can’t be happy with the drones we Purchased a few years ago .

Doesn’t mean you can’t fly them...

People still use old iPhones.

Answer is simple dont do any updates.
If it aint broke dont try n fix it.
Using this theory you should be able to continue to fly for many many years to come.

How would you update, older models, if the updates don’t get released anymore?

I feel similar about our Phantom 3 Pro, although, I don’t require it updated, for any reason.

Well with older models if they dont get updates how can they posibly be deprogrammed refrencing op's original post.
Same can be said for all drones if you dont change the software/firmware then they should continue to fly for many years to come

I have seen guys flying P2 and P3 and also some kids using iPhone4,4s,5,5s and so on.

Thank you for coming to join Tony. one thing that concerns myself and I am sure many others, would be how long would spare parts and batteries be available to maintain these aircraft. I would believe that, rather than the software would be the main issue here.
