You'll also need to reset this setting after installing new firmware on the batteries.

Hello. Thank you for the inquiry. All of your battery's firmware needs to be updated so that your batteries will be compatible with your drone. Thanks for your support.

Out of interest, why do you think you need to change it?

If i was to fly on the 9th day and they are due to discharge on the 10th day but i would charge them anyway before flying then i thought if they have discharged themselves then i can cycle them better ? No ?

3 days is the right and best setting, but before flying it will do no harm if it’s say two days to pop on the charger to make sure fully charged.

I personally see no harm in what you propose, i.e. the 3 day cycle, but then DJI probably did research to decide on the 10 day default.
Regardless of what day cycle you decide on, always pop them on charge before a flight having pressed and switched on the battery button and let the charger top you right up.
The control circuit will manage everything.

? did you say turn battery on prior to charging or did you mean on then off then charge ?

I assume the battery management will be similar to the phantom 3 pro I have as well as the Mavic Pro's. I expect someone will put me right, but when you switch the battery on, as if fitted to the drone, the charger senses it is on and actively switches off the battery, but charges for a short while. Whereas, if you just connect a 10 day discharge cycle battery to the charger after about 2 or 3 days, it shows it is fully charged and no further charging takes place.
I personally have found this makes an observable increase in flight time, but obviously no more than any freshly charged battery would. So don't think you get more power this way, just the full design capacity for its age and condition.
