So I decided to check my compass on my P4P today and both compass bars just barley green.  Does that mean I should calibrate the compass or does it indicate a lot of compass interferance?  I check it while it was on asphault which I don't think has metal like concrete.  My car was maybe 10 feet away.

Is your Phantom flying straight and hovering in place without slowly rotating?
If so, the compass is just fine - leave it alone.

Yes, let the drone hover, nearby, to watch and see, checking for any anomaly.

As stated, if it flys true, let the compass be.

Yes it flies straight and doesn't rotate in hover.  Thanks!

I will not calibrate the compass unless the APP asks me to do a calibration.

The compass dance, used to be a thing to do.... it was fun even. Ah, but not so much these days.

It’s such a simple procedure to accomplish and way too easy to screw up, if done in an inappropriate location.

If it's just barely green then there's virtually no interference, about as good as it gets.

The more interference there is, the further the bar will move to the right, and will change from green to orange to red as it approaches the right hand side.

Just like our traffic street lights.


Green means Go, Orange means Caution, and Red mean Ketchup. Hahaha
