I have watched numerous youtube video tutorials on the setup of the Ronin S and still having issues....

I am trying to balance Sony Alpha a7S ii, battery grip, 28-70mm 2.8 and Azden SMX-30 microphone.

Any tricks or maybe a another good video?

Hi TheLazyC, Sony A7S II is compatible with Ronin-S and it sure can be balanced. What is the Balance Test status in the APP after you physically balanced? Which axis is unable to be balanced? Did you refer to our official tutorial video?
