Hello,

I'm trying to upgrade my brand new Mavic 2 Zoom remote controller with the DJI Assistant 2 For Mavic v2.0.4 and it just keeps failing over and over again.

Is it a normal behavior ?

Well, i managed to finally upgrade my remote control with the DJI Assistant 2 For Mavic v2.0.4. I had to power cycle the remote control a couple of times and at some point the upgrade succeeded.

Might be some gremlins lol

It's not been unknown for upgrade files to fail to download, or delayed by DJI servers being busy or inaccessible to Assistant 2. If the upgrades ever fail at some point then rebooting all as you suggest often helps :-)

Sometimes, changing internet connection is the main reason why the upgrade is failing.

My firmware update says done, but the same firmware in on remote? I have tried everything any other suggestions?
Can or should I fly with 2 different firmware's?

With all connected and powered up, what does it say in 'About' in 'General Settings' menu in DJI Go 4.
That should list the firmware on aircraft and RC, also the version of DJI Go 4 etc.

Downloading the app on my laptop and doing the first update via USB worked much better than using my phone for my be m2z, also. I think my phone was trying to connect to too many different WiFi servers, interrupting the upgrade. Plugged both into my laptop and upgraded with no problem.

That's good to hear. If you are having an issue updating the firmware using the APP, we suggest you make sure that the internet connection is stable so that your mobile device will not be disconnected . You can also use a different mobile device so that we can isolate the issue. Please refer on the video tutorial below on how to properly update the firmware using DJI Go 4 APP. Are you updating using DJI Go 4 App' ?

All should work, but sometimes there are glitches, there may not even be an RC update (I don't have zoom so can't check)

Try the check for updates using DJI Assistant 2, as per post number 4.

The Mavic 2 Zoom and I imagine the Pro comes with several cables.  My buddy had the same issues.......he was using Assistant 2 for Mavic, and the BLACK wide cable.  It doesn't seem to fit perfectly.

So we tried the long white USB to Micro USB cable and that solved all the issues.

Hi,

I know what you are talking about but there is actually an adaptor USB Type-C male to Micro Type-B male provided in the boxes which carries most of accessories and cables.

I upgraded my radio-control with that black cable plugged with that adaptor.

I think the real problem is related to the Internet connection or/and maybe the windows firewall or/and DJI servers.
