Great video and accurate test, if not yet the best, on video output quality comparing the M2P with the P4P.  However, different crop sizes not taken into consideration, not sure if relevant.

Results on sharpness were kind of expected.  He also considers the 4k FOV as "washed out".

Surely the mechanical shutter on the P4P makes a difference when assessing motion blur/jello effects not to mention 4K @ 60p. That aside - these are very interesting results and both clearly have pro's and con's against each other but that distortion out of the M2P camera - I have not seen that since the Phantom 2! You could also make this comparison against the Phantom 4 Advanced of course - which has exactly the same camera as the P4P and is only £9 more than the M2P RRP (though a lot cheaper from dealers).

I think everyone seems to forget 2016 phantom 4 Pro €1699 M2 2018 €1449 so difference of €250 do we really expect to get better camera better drone two years down the line, the distortion is only a problem in d log mode which always has to be processed anyways, normal mode is perfect out of camera. But it would be nice if camera could be improved that we would see this happening.

Can we expect?  Yes.  Based on history of Tech trends.
Tech tends to increase or improve with time, and price tends to decrease as well.

With that said, camera of M2 should be as good if not better than camera of P4 pro.

Yes we all know that iPhone 8 was much cheaper than I phone 6 LMAO ........
And working on this ridiculous premise new P5 should be better than inspire 2, maybe even better than Matrice 200.

All new Cameras will be better and cheaper than their predecessors. I think he needs to give us the PH # of where he shops, Can’t stop LMAO .......

Same old tune. Arrogance can only be cured one way

The colour/contrast/sharpness profile of the P4P is different.

With minor in-drone (or post) adjustments the M2P will look almost indistinguishable.

I have since bought the M2P since my first reply on here and can tell you that the images I'm getting now are awesome on the Mavic 2 Pro and I honestly can not tell the difference to the images from my now sold P4P - only I don't get back ache anymore carrying that loud, dated drone on hikes. Yet to edit in 10 bit on the M2P but the results I've seen from others who have clearly surpass the P4P colour grading.

P4P is superior, MP2 second.
