Just wondering here, I went to fly my spark this morning to catch some of the fog banks and got an update which started on my DJI app.
Well as soon as it started my screen went black. The download did I should say. Has anyone else experienced this and how can I remedy it?

You need to downgrade your app version to the one that was working well before. 4.1.15 is very stable for spark.
First uninstall DJI go.
Then download the old version from apkmirror
Enable installation from unknown sources
Disable auto updates of the apps
And just make sure to never update the app on that device ever again.

I removed the app and reinstalled it. It's working but I have a variety of software issues now. No home point set, it drifts 10 to 15 feet in any direction and almost no controller response...

Hello and good day Katt. I am sorry to know that you are having this issue with your DJI Spark. Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall the DJI Go 4 application on your mobile device and may I know what is model of the mobile device that is associated with the DJI Spark? Thank you.

When I updated my Android tablet with the latest version of DJI GO4 the screen went black too. I had to completely power off the tablet and do re-boot after that everything was fine. I hope this will help you.

What android is on your device?
But anyway, b/c it sounds like the app was working before the update:
Go back to the second last version. (apkmirror)
Or try 4.2.21, if that doesnt work.

Also: it can be, you have to delete the cache and everything, not "just to uninstall" the app

Using 4.2.21 and it's Android 7

Just downgrade your app version and everything will be fine
