beautiful footage...The Ronin S is hefty in weight, was that at all a problem for you when travelling ?  & I see a few drone shots in the mix, what drone were you using, any problems with flying at these locations?  thank you

The Ronin s was a bit heavy, but mainly it was fine carrying in around. I used the Dji Mavic Pro which is amazing. i didn't fly it around people and in cities, only opened areas, I did my best to respect the rules of the country.

I'll start with what probably says everyone who has been in this amazing country - forget this is simply impossible. A sea of impressions, which then gradually turn into pleasant memories and the joy of what you have been in such wonderful places. Italy is the first country so far away, and now so dear, where I went for the first time many years ago, and then returned there again, and it is still impossible to cover everything that I want to see with my own eyes, to touch, so to speak, the history itself. One of the most liked places I was lucky enough to visit,  it's San Marino. I will not go into details, as about San Marino . It is very beautiful and cool

Fantastic review with great insight. I ended up with the Tilta Gravity gimbal because quite frankly I was impatient to get going. I use Osmo and Osmo Mobile, so probably would enjoy the Ronin S. I think performance and weight of Tilta vs Ronin is similar. Tilta base plate mount is cumbersome compared to the DJI, but I gone to using a monopod for extended handle and testing it. This class of gimbal is not the smartphone variety, but miles ahead of the older bigger gimbals, and much much easier to balance. I gave up on Movi M5!

Thanks Nino – great review and confirms everything I’ve heard about it but with a lot more detail. Shame you were having the focus issues with the GH5 :-) – glad I’ve switched to the 1DXii. Some questions:

Has DJI mentioned anything about global stocks and availability? It’s very hard to get right now – 1-2 month lead time and I’m anxious to get one asap.
Do you know if they’re making a control cable for the 1DXii? Even just for recording. How about the C200?
