Hi,

I started recording on D-LogM H.265 on my Mavic Pro2 and it plays really smooth on my phone, but as soon as I transfer it to my laptop (MacOS Mojave 10.14.1)  to edit my videos I get a glitchy playback, sometimes even stoping at mid-playback. Any fixes or tips?

1) What Mac do you have and 2) what software are you using to edit the video?

MacBook Pro 2017 (No touchbar) / Final Cut Pro

Bur even in the preview on Finder looks the same, I tried Premiere Pro too and got the same results. Now I'm using Handbreak to encode it to H.264

Hi, I have a 2017 Macbook Pro too (touchbar) and I have absolutely no issues with the h.265 videos, they are butter smooth during editing. Just to be sure, check in Final Cut Preferences that you have "Copy to library storage location" selected in the "Import" tab. Of course your storage location should be a fast SSD (I'm using a Samsung T3 that is more than enough for 4k h.265 videos) or the internal one.

Further to what kerberos said...

If you use Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro X, you'll need to use the 'proxies' option when working with H.265 10bit footage.

The "Copy to library storage location" option was checked, also tried the "Create Proxy" option but none of those worked, still got the same problem.

If you have created Proxy files have you set your viewer panel to play back Proxy media?
