Hello, sorry if this has been asked before but I am a newbie Mavic Air owner. I have read posts on several website in relation to how you should store the batteries if they are not to be used for several weeks. However I still have a few queries.
Can you set the automatic discharge within the DJI Go 4 app and if so will it discharge to the desired level of 50%?

If you have been flying the drone and the battery has a 20% level left and you know that you're not going to be flying for weeks do you charge those batteries to 100% and then discharge them to 50% or do you only charge to 50% with no need to fully charge beforehand? Any advice very welcome.

No charge to 50% ....never fully charge them if not going out to fly.  ALSO Set your discharge cycle to 2 days if u have charged them and forgot, AUTO dischare will take care of it...u can do this in app.... if u wont be flying for weeks u should atleast check on them once  a week to see the state of charge left. (If it drained to one light charge back up to 2 lights). Lipo's are very fussy....you must baby them. If u do not check on them every so often u might come back to an irreversible problem. Lipo could be flat and worst case scenerio not take a charge from sitting flat to long .

After flight charge them to 100% and leave alone. After 10 days the batteries start to discharge to 65%. U cant change that. And dont chech battery status every week, because that will reset the counter and they will never discharge. Only after 10 days after last action they start to discharge.

You can change the 10 days to any day between 2 and 10 in the app.

Not on the Mavic Air mate - like the Spark it is 10 day discharge only. No option to change in the app.

OP - charge to 50% (turn off when the third LED begins to flash) and store at room temperature if weeks until you fly again. If flying within a week leave them at 20%. Fully recharge the night before you intend to fly and flying within 24 hours of the charge is best practice.

Ah ok, thanks for clarifying it to me then
So on the Mavic Pro only you can select discharge between 2 and 10 days manually.
