I shot this last December so I know it's been posted here already and talked about ad nauseam, but I've never submitted it for a contest so here goes.
I wanted to propose to my girlfriend of several years, and I wanted to use a drone. The idea of securing a several thousand dollar ring to the drone and then having a fly-away made me very hesitant, so instead I thought I'd incorporate the proposal into a video. I told her I was making a Christmas Lights video and that I'd have it ready for everyone to watch Christmas Day. Two nights we drove around for hours and looked at Christmas lights and stopped at the best ones so I could do a little filming. Two days before Christmas we got a decent amount of snow so I went out and filmed for a few hours, but ALSO took the engagement ring with me and got on one knee and shot a dronie which I ended up reversing in the final video. Then the day before Christmas I edited the whole thing while she was sleeping so she couldn't see what I was working on. I uploaded it to youtube but kept the video private.
On Christmas morning, after both of us worked over night, I said "Can you watch this video for any errors before I make it public?"
She watched the entire thing without looking away once and when the drone was zooming in on me in the field she was like... "Who is that? Oh, that's you... why are you sitting in the snow? What are you holding? OH MY GOD!" When she looked back at me with tears in her eyes I was holding the ring with a giant grin on my face. She said yes, and we are getting married this June. She also told me if I don't make a drone video on our wedding day she'll be disappointed. Since then she has started flying drones too. When I got the Mavic Air she started flying the Spark and is getting pretty good at it. Here's the vid... and again, sorry if you've already watched it. Reruns... amiright?

There is a Chinese singer, Wangfeng, he proposed to his girlfriend at the concert, and use Drone to pass the ring to his girlfriend.
Yeah, there has to be somebody that lost the engagement ring on a run-away drone.

I would like to share this thread to you, which were posted on last year.

That's a nice thread with good tips. THANKS!
I'm also going to use drones on the wedding day and one plus is that we are getting married on the family farm so I can plan my shots ahead of time. (and of course have total permission to film since it's family land). I'm also getting better at using Litchi, so I want to map out my flights and Waypoints and run the mission ahead of time to make sure it looks good. That way when the big day comes around I'll just load the missions and let it fly in auto pilot, knowing the shots are going to be perfect and the drone won't fly to close to any guests.
