I've been trying to get my apple ipad pro 2018 to work with DJI Go 4 (latest) but its having none of it.
Unless the Controller + remote is within 2ft of the drone it gets a weak transmission signal. I left the drone in the same spot, changed to my android tablet and it works absoloutley flawlessly.
Anyone every had this issue or reccomend a fix? Wish i'd stayed with android now!
Tried it in airplane mode, wifi turned off in the house, nothing.
There is currently no Apple-branded cable that will make this connection with one end being USB-A (goes into the RC), the other end being USB-C (goes into iPad Pro 2018).
However, I think your suspicion about cabling is probably right.
OP: Would you try this with a double ended USB-A cable in conjunction with an Apple USB-C to USB Adapter? I'm interested in finding if this combination works.
Looking on apple, the only cable they do it to a female USB which is no good, has to be male to go into the remote? God i remember now why i moved away from apple!
I couldn't change the image transmission channel in DJI GO, so changed my "region and language" to "united states" on the Ipad itself and bingo, changed to channel 19 in DJI GO and works a treat - why oh why DJI are you restricting us brits on stuff like this?!
DJI are aware of this issue and need to provide an update to app (DJI Go) and/or (Inspire 1 Pro) firmware to allow iPad Pro 2018 to work without image break up. Whether DJI will do this is unknown.
Our iPad Pro 2018s work seamlessly on our Mavic 2 Pros.
I have a follow up question. I am unable to get my iPad PRo 11" 2018 connected to my Phantom 4. The cable is charging the iPad, so I know it is connected, but DJIGo doesn't recognize it. Thoughts?
