Hi everyone, sorry if this was already discussed. I am new in the forum, so please excuse me.
So I am planning to buy a Ronin S and use with my SONY FDR-AX700 4K HDR Camcorder. I am filming events and this kind of stabilization will really upscale my work.
Do you know if this is possible or it won't fit?
Thank you very much in advance!
Anch'io ho la stessa camcoder ax 700, si può montare su Ronin S ma tieni presente che per avviare e spegnere la registrazione dovrai farlo dalla videocamera, in alternativa puoi usare il telecomando della Sony .Ciao.

Hi, thanks for the inquiry. As of the moment. the Sony FDR-AX700 is not yet compatible with our Ronin S due to that it might not have been tested by our team. You may refer to the link below for the cameras that are compatible with our Ronin -S. Thank you for understanding.

You can mount it only with ronin S but it is not possible to start and stop the video via ronin s, you have to use the remote control or app.
I am interested in purchasing the Sony FDR-AX700 for use with my Ronin S. From your photo it looks like the Sony's battery will hit the gimbal's roll motor. Is this the case? Are there any limitations in the use of the AX700 with the Ronin S?

What do you use to attach the remote controller to the Ronin S?

Many thanks.
I have it installed and working - just need to work out the best settings for the Ronin S Tilt motor when walking. From your photos I seem to have the same or similar position of the base plate to the camcorder and the base plate to the gimbal. Balances on all motors perfectly.
I just bought a Ronin-S (essential kit) for Christmas
It works fine with my AX-700 (just for balancing) and I am wondering if it worth buying an USB connection cable (essential kit does not provide any cable, except the charging one)
Does the Ronin can use this cable to get data from the camcorder, and for instance allow tracking (with "active track pro") ;)

Hello,
i've bought one for my AX-700 too. It's not difficult to balance it.
I will try it this week-end.

Balancing is easy as long as
- You do not use any accessory (microphone, light)
- Remove the eye cap and use the default battery (NP-FV70A). Eye cap or bigger battery will touch the gimbal arm
- Don't forget to open the screen (if you intend to use the camera with the screen open)
