Hi, how come I encounter error when I try to use Mimo app to edit 4K videos?

Don’t think you can edit 4K on the app, you might have to load into FCPX or davinci

mobile device is iPhone X on iOS 12.1.1

I got the same issue. I assumed it was a limitation.

Hi, doesn’t the Osmo Pocket take 4K footage?
I was expecting those “automated quick story edit” wizards integrated in the Mimo app to be able to handle the footage the Pocket captures, using the mobile device itself.

Or if I wish to use those fuss-free “story modes” I have to ensure I only capture in 1080P and below?

I think app will down resolution to max 1080p same as dji go app, but I’m not 100% sure of this, but story is designed with social media in mind and as you know social media doesn’t work that well in 4K

Hi hallmark!
I’m okay with the app generating OUTPUT that’s capped at 1080P, but my issue is I can’t even IMPORT 4K footage into the app to START the editing with.

If this is the intended behaviour, it means if I intend to make use of the intuitive quick edit mode, I must not capture the source material at 4K resolution.

So, with this emphasis, you’re saying for the recently-released Mimo app, we can’t do the above yet?

Yes,We are working on transcoding 4k input to 1080 or 720 so that u can "edit the 4k footage"

I don't think he's DJI... if anything seems to be mocking DJI Admins.

I am unable to import any 4k video into my iPhone 8 Plus.  I am unable to even save it to my camera roll to view on my phone.  Is there any way to import 4k video with the iPhone?  

At what quality does the video from the editor get exported at?  Where do I check the export settings? I read above it is capped at 1080P, however, my video once saved looked very blurry and no where close to the recorded quality.

I have the same issue. Can’t import photos/videos to my iPhone XS Max. I don’t even see that “Story” mode on my Mimo app. But I’ve seen it on some of the YouTube reviews. Hope we get answers on this also

Osmo pocket Ownly export low RES film to iPhone.

I recently purchased my Osmo Pocket (1 of 4 dji products I own) and I was totally disappointed that I can’t edit 4K video.  Additionally, I can’t synchronized my media (video and pics)  with dji go or dji 4, like I can with dji go.   

More over I can’t follow a subject without my phone.   And lastly the stories that were so publicized, are not available. ( iPhoneX-latestest version of iOS and latest versions of Osmo Pocket).


Can someone from dji offer a timeline when a fix will be offered?   

The mimo app renders medium quality movies. (Max 720p)
Hope in future 1080 and 4k will be possible!

Zoom function would be handy

i think the 4K editing will be avalaible soon beacuse the mini 2 have 4k now
