I just updated the Tello firmware, 1.04.78.01. Whats new to this firmware? Cant find any details in Ryze website.

Does it fix the video recording bug???

No tested still the same after turn on location service in tello App IOS.

I'm from Russia. I read the post just now.
Android 6.0. Launched Tello app. And the message "New version detected. The update package size is 7,0 MB. Do you wish to download it?"

Does it work if you turn off location services. I turn off location services, i still have the recording bug. Even if i am in airplane mode.

If i turned off location its ok no app freeze. Im using IOS

This situation has filled us with regret, we are sincerely sorry that the problem hasn't been solved yet. For your reference, here is what's new in the new firmware version.
- Increased the hover accuracy for auto takeoff
- Added support for Swift Playgrounds

Finally got the tello to record using latest version of ios and latest version of app and latest version of firmware.
However, you must have location services turned off for the tello app and you must be in airplane mode. If you are not in airplane mode, and even if location service's is turned off, the app will freeze.

Sure.  The following picture shows the APP‘s out looking. You can use an iPad to download the Playgrounds app in the App Store. The iOS version should be 10.3 or higher. With it, you can achieve swarm mode of Tello Edu drone, also TelloSpaceTravel etc.

I have noticed the vision positioning has improved in low light condition and also the hover is more stable in this new firmware.

What do I know! It looks that way!

I've updated to 01.04.78.01 for the advertised better take-off stability (confirmed) and better low-light performance (inconclusive - I still get the low-light warning in a living room, lit by 2x 1800 lumen sources).

But!

It also seems to have fixed the app freeze on iPhone 6s Plus.
Before the update I had the location services turned off in the app-related settings to no avail. Now, I successfully recorded several clips. Then I turned the location services back on and recorded even more clips.

Can I download to a PC and install?  I do not have a cable to install from my phone (USB 3) .  If I can download to a PC, how do I do it?
