Hello Folks,

After a long period without updating my Inspire 1 and RC i thought it's time to get it done once more.

Bad Idea!!!!

I connected my RC with my Ipad and uploated the new firmware and proceeded the update. After maybe 15 minutes the yellow updating wheel indicated always 0% so i decided to interrupt the update. I needed to shut off the RC because everything was stuck on the ipad.

You can imagine what followed:

RC LED has a greenish light and when i connect the ipad the DJI Go App indicates that the RC is now a RC for a Phantom 3.

-I tried a few times the reset for RC    (Hold C1 + C2 + Shutter Button and turn off with Power Button --> then the same sequence when turning on power) but nothing happens!!!

- Tried also to reboot the RC with different USB sticks and the special *gs_ofdm.bin* file without success.

Does anybody out there has another idea what i can do?

Have you tried to switch (choose) the inspire manually on app without anything connected?

I had the same thing happen to me 2~3 weeks ago right out of the blue. I had to shut down and try several times, but it seems that is what I did to get it to not think it was a P3S.

Hopefully someone will have the magic bullet if this isn’t it.
BTW: I hadn’t just updated when I had my problem. Just random luck.

Thanks and yes i tried to switch to inspire manually but it didn't work. The only thing i saw then when i get in the menu holding the three bars in the upper right corner was:

- No upgrade available. And also no option to downgrade too.

after a lot of search in google i didn't find any plausible explanation or solution.

Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful Patrick.

I’m also surprised someone from dji hasn’t jumped in. Hopefully Very soon.

Same Problem with my new bought Inspire 1 RC, second Hand :-(

First of all no USB connection via Handy was available, so I came along and read many problems about the usb pcb board, such as bad soldered usb ports on the board. so I managed myself to fix it, but nothing changed. Today I tried to change the two HDMI Modules which are stuck on the usb board -> and then for the first time it worked, i got a connection through dji go app. that there is no connection but it was recognized in the app. but with firmware "version unknown"
After that i go back to dji go app - main menu where the model can be chosen. when i plug in the usb cable into my phone, it is showing me "Phantom 3 Professional" :-(
Also by long press on this menue the 3 bars, it comes into an menu where following information is presented: GL300 RC, Verion Unknown and i can't chose another firmware.
Also tried after that to use gs_ofdm.bin, but also no help. also tried resetting the remote without any changes.

So i hope DJI move UP HERE and try to help.
