I beginned drone piloting and video making this year, with a Mavic Air and without any experience. My first videos were very naïf, but I'm very proud of my growth and I'd like to keep progressing that way next year. My only regret is that I could apply more on photography and video making study; a first good point for 2019 good intentions list!
Here it is my last video, a work which concludes this year of travels and findings:
I spent a week in early December in Fuerteventura, all alone with my brand new Mavic 2 pro.
It hasn't been easy to make this video, and I dedicated the whole trip to it.
I had the weather by my side, sunny days and not too windy, and an island which is not full of tourists in the off-season.
I had to plan the visit of the various points of interest, based on the available days. In order to film with the drone without meeting people, I've had to come back several times on some places, and often to get up early to anticipate bathers and take advantage of the colors of sunrises and sunsets. I highly suggest to do the same in every maistream location; personally I'll surely do it from now on!
An oculated filter choice is also a good quality trick to take advantage of such beautiful places. And an accurate lut selection would finish your good work, of course.
Indescribable emotions have accompanied this experience of mine. I found myself admiring lunar landscapes, discovering villages in nothingness, stretches of inviolate sand, volcanic earth and craters, cliffs, wonderful windmills, beautiful lighthouses and impetuous waves.
This is my way of traveling, and with these images, I hope you can relive with me this adventure in this wonderful land.
It is absolutely excellent, particular if this is your first year of having a drone. Everything is fine - the filming in technical aspect as at selection of interesting locations and perspective.
Bravo!
very great work! nice shots, very nice story! the video feels alive! if you consider yourself a beginner, then i have to invest much more time to reach your level... would you mind sharing, what video editing software you using? thanks and merry christmas

Thank for the nice words, my equipment is a m2pro + polarpro filters and a gopro 7 black and I edited with final cut. Merry Christmas to you too!

Wow, thanks for sharing!! Vacationed in Fuerteventura and the Canary Islands many times before we moved to the US in 1997 and seeing this was amazing and makes us want to revisit! My wife and I always remember the Sand dunes at Jandia and the volcanic landscape. What we love about Fuerteventura is a 2 week vacation felt like a month, the pace of life just used to slow down and it's an amazing and beautiful place!
Not so often on the forums, you can see such quality pictures. I myself am now close to the neighboring island of Tenerife and I am glad that there are almost such photos about us
