Hello guys, I currently have an ar drone 2 and am looking at buying the parrot bebop, or the Phantom2 vision + I have read up on the Phantom2 but am still a lttle confussed at how exactly it works. With my ar. 2 I can see in real time on my tablet where it's flying, the bebop will do the same. Does the Phantom2 vision plus do the same thing, or does it just record the video ? Thanks in advance. Also the bebop with controler will fly about 1.2 miles out

Think im going with the vision2 +. Version 3 is the newest version ? Also can you use a tablet instead of a phone?

I'm using the

Apple iPad 2 32GB, Wi-Fi + 3G (AT&T), 9.7in - White!! (Low FW iOS 6.1)

to take the place of my phone.  My old eyes could not see the phone to well so I looked for something bigger.  Just make sure the IOS on the tablet is IOS 6.1 or higher.

If you are ever going to consider upgrading your FPV or going to gopro etc,,,,  it may be worth looking at the Phantom 2.

I have the Phantom 2 vision plus now and just waiting until DJI gets their camera wheel bugs worked out.  Then I'll order the complete upgrade.  Got the Phantom in April.

You will get greater distances with bebop and the controller. And you will have no worries of it flying away, and no worries of bad support.
cheaper it is also. And no ribbons to worry about.

but picture will be better in dji, and you will have more ability to modify and buy accessories to dji, only to see it fly away of course.
