when i powered on the gimbal, it goes to the middle level.  good. no issues.
i proceed to tilt the gimbal downward and the camera starts pointing downward.  BUT when i return the gimbal back up starting point, the camera would not tilt back to the starting point. i would have to double press the trigger for the camera to return to the middle level.   

do i have a bad unit?  using the latest firmware 1.7....

Did you push and hold the trigger to go to the upside down or torch position?
Maybe you twisted the head a bit too much, so it does not recognice the position correctly.

If all other things work this is most likely not a bad unit, but you can refresh the firmware again to be sure.

Hi tung256, this should be related to the SmoothTrack settings. We have Speed, Deadband, and Sensitivity in SmoothTrack.
If you set the Deadband into a range, the gimbal will not follow in this range. If you would like the gimbal to be centered in Follow mode quickly, please enable the Sport Mode, or set the Deadband into 0, then increase the value of the Speed and Sensitivity, thanks.
