Where can i buy a new Controler Battery for my P3 Advanced.

I Live in the UK and cant seem to find any .

You and many others are all looking ...

Another did post they found some on Amazon ... as to whether they are correct ?? Search on here will bring it up

Usually you can right click and click on translate ... especially if you use Chrome ..

Without expanding the photo you have as Avatar ... is that a Pike ? Not a bad one !!

We have pike up to reasonable size on the river my house is near ... can be over 20kg ...

Russians have a way of cooking them ... carefully remove all meat and bones - I think they boil it whole first - but not sure ... leaving skin intact. Mix the meat with various such as mashed carrot, potato, literally veg that you prefer ... then put back into the skin ... sew it closed and bake. They do it also with Carp. It's really good ..

Anyway ... back to battery.

I saw a post somewhere that linked to AliExpress ... a search of AliExpress for Phantom Battery should bring up something.

Cheers for that , ill probably end up putting a similar battery to the original but charge it differently .

The fish in the photo is a Sturgeon at 27 Lbs , small when you consider how big they can get , I caught it in a lake in France some years ago .

Not a great fish lover so all I catch goes back to fight another day .

Now you post that - I opened up your photo and yes - I now see Sturgeon ... as you can imagine - living / working with Russians - Sturgeon is a known item !! Its the source of Black Caviar ...

We can buy live Sturgeon in the supermarket ...

I have a broken P3P controller which I keep for spares ... some time ago I was going to let a guy have it before I found that more than just the antenna mounts were broken.

If I did not have that battery as back up - I would do as the video shows (there is a pt 2 that is the real vid you need) ... because at end of day - the Controller does not care as long as its 2S ... and of sufficient capacity. I would route the balance lead out so i could use a balance lead based charger, leaving main power lead plugged into controller board. Such a charger can be had for less than 10 quid ... and its just plug and charge ... no need to set anything.

Now im sure I could do this ,but to be on the safe side ill run it by a close friend as thats what he pretty much does , and ill expect we will do it together

I was hoping it was just going to be a case of swapping batteries out from DJI , whether I buy again from DJi will all depend on the competition out their . but your youtube option seems a very easy get around

davyduk, I replaced my P3P controller battery with a Gens ace 3500 mAh 2S1P RX battery some time ago and the bird continues to fly. Have a look at my post on this old thread Battery. Take care about two aspects: first, the controller plastic is VERY FRAGILE and second, you must foresee to balance the cells in the new non-DJI battery. As you can see from the photos in my old post, its easy to pass the balance plug outside the controller by a small hole (use hot iron to melt the passage).

Hi RHP ... just a thought ...

Have a think about costing ...

A 2S LiPo can cost peanuts for this job along with less than an hours work ? vs sending it in and the costs / delays till its returned ?

OK - I am as many know - reasonably au fait with LiPo's and would not be a hard job for me to replace. Some repairs I too think DJI Service is the better way to go - but this ?

No reason to leave the balance unit connected permanently. I only use it after longish storage periods, or after recharging. Up to now my cells have remained pretty well balanced.
