Hello all and Happy Christmas!!
look what I found under my christmas tree!! a brand new Mavic Air!!!
after unpacking and assembling and all taking steps from YT video tutorials, few problems occured!
1 - on remote is always red light! not turning to green (I do have video feed on my phone from aircraft camera)
2 - camera rotating wheel is not moving gimbal - but if I tap on my phone screen gimbal is working!
3 - distance and heigh parameters can not be changed - only 50 m altitude and 100m in distance is avaliable - whole point of new drone is to get more heigh and distance than Phanotm 3 standard!!
Hi, we would like to congratulate you on having the Mavic Air! No worries, we will help you to resolve the concern. Please refer to the details below in regards to your query.
1. The reason why your RC emits a red light is due to that the RC is not linked to your aircraft.
2. Since the RC is not connected to the aircraft, there will be no response on the aircraft if you command it via the remote controller.
3. Your current distance is limited when you're using the wifi mode and beginner mode. You could turn off the beginner mode using the DJI GO 4 app.
For the mean-time, please watch our video tutorial on how you will update the firmware and link the RC to the aircraft.
at the beginning I didn`t connect my phone with the remote. that was the reason of my confusion with linking remote with aircraft and getting only 50m altitude.
but now I can not conncet my HTC 650 and place it between holders becasuse micro USB connecton is oriented upside down on my phone, therefore, short cable is pointing "downwards" from my phone, not "upwards" toward remote (see picture) and this cable is too short. Is the any adaptor do this cable?
can I? oh great!! thanks a lot!! that didn`t cross my mind!!!!
and one last thing - how to stop my phone chargin while is connected to the remote?? I know it will drain remote`s battery but I can not stop charging my HTC 650 as long as it is conencted to anoter power source!!
The only way to stop the charging is to buy an I Phone or I Pad. I believe all android devices do that. My galaxy s8 charges also. I just make sure the phone is fully charged.

Not being funny but that's why another user linked you to the manual....
sign into the go 4 app with the user info you do here for the forum that should give you the distance and height limit removal.
also when using the bottom USB port the micro USB on the side must be empty or itll not have proper image
here is a tip for ya:
first - you have to behave yourself
second - obey your wife/parents
third - earn/save your money
forth - all three rules from above all together
Please do yourself a favor and read the manual, search youtube for Mavic Air videos so you can fully understand how to operate the Air BEFORE you go out and fly it. It is relatively easy as a new and inexperienced drone pilot to lose or crash your new toy unless you take your time to learn about it!
The time you invest now will be paid back several times when you can enjoy your drone instead of being disappointed after crashing it.

You can get an app from the playstore (disable usb charging), but you need to root the phone to use it.
