Hi Dave, sorry for the trouble. That is normal and it is used to tilt the gimbal up and down. If you already have the Osmo Pocket Controller Wheel, you can insert it to your Osmo Pocket and the virtual option of the gimbal controller wheel will be gone. The Controller Wheel is equipped with a dial for precise pan and tilt control, a button to change between different shooting modes, and a button to recenter the gimbal, making shooting more flexible. Also, please make sure that your SD card is properly inserted. If you have other concern, please don't hesitate to contact us. Thanks for your support.

You can disable it under the settings on the Pocket (will help if you're accidentally tilting the cam while using the touchscreen etc, also frees up a bit of screen space)

Hi dave.dartmin, the bar on the right side is used to control the gimble tilt, as Chris1a mentioned, if you don't want to see it, please disable it in Settings by sliding down the screen, thanks.
