Cameron Highlands Drone Flight: The Cameron Highlands is a district in Pahang, Malaysia occupying an area of 712.18 square kilometres. To the north, its boundary touches that of Kelantan; to the west, it shares part of its border with Perak. Situated at the northwestern tip of Pahang, the Camerons is approximately 90 kilometres from Ipoh, roughly 200 kilometres from Kuala Lumpur or about 355 kilometres from Kuantan, the capital of Pahang. It is the smallest municipality in the state. Surveyed by geologist William Cameron in 1885, the outpost consists of three mukims (subdistricts), namely Ringlet, Tanah Rata and Ulu Telom. Its eight settlements are Ringlet, Tanah Rata (the administrative centre), Brinchang, the Bertam Valley, Kea Farm, Tringkap, Kuala Terla and Kampung Raja. All are nestled at elevations ranging from 800 metres to 1,603 metres above sea level. Developed in the 1930s, the tableland is one of the oldest tourist spots in Malaysia. Apart from its tea estates, the plateau is also noted for its cool weather, orchards, nurseries, farmlands, waterfalls, rivers, lakes, wildlife, mossy forest, golf course, hotels, places of worship, bungalows, Land Rovers, museum and its aborigines (Orang Asli). What a beautiful footage man. Well unlucky me, I went to this highland last weekend but not be able to fly anywhere near the tea plantations. There is 'No fly zone' sign at the BOH tea plantation so I decided not to break the rules.
But there is no 'No fly zone' sign at the Cameron Valley tea plantations. Well as soon as I had setting up my drone suddenly came a security guard and told me that drones are not allowed at the area. Was a bit sad not be able to captured the beautiful scenery from the top but managed to have some nice shots from the ground with my Osmo Pocket instead.

Sorry to hear that rules appereantly have changed... someone wrote me a PM recently telling me about this, too. I was there 2016 or '17, there wasn't any sign nor regulation like that back then. Sorry mate, hope your ground footage rocks at least. And thanks for the warm words.
