As the app is not running on the older devices, you can download the updated firmware and start using the DJI on your phone.
For Samsung the official source is - XDA or Sammobile
For All other like HTC, LG, Xiaomi, OnePlus, Micromax, Oppo, Vivo, Lava - XDA
Steps to update (Samsung) -
1. Download and install Odin on your PC
2. Choose your FIRMWARE by putting in your phone Model version
3. Download and unzip your firmware (do not use WinRAR as it can give errors)
4. From your download put these files into Odin:
BL
AP
CP
CSC (not HOME_CSC)
5. Now look at the Odin Settings (for this select Options)
F.reset time
Auto reboot
6. Installing another country CSC or a network CSC will need the system partition size changing.
For this select Optionsand add this setting

Steps to Update (Others) -
Step 1.Run Flash_Tool.exe file from the extracted folder in (See the shared image below) Step 2.If any Warning pop-up appears on your screen click Yes. Step 3.Once SP Flash Tool launches, click on Download tab. Step 4. Under Download tab, click on Scatter-Loading button. Go to the extracted stock ROM folder and select the scatter file. The name of the file will have the word “scatter” in it. Then click on Download button just below the Download tab. Step 5. Connect your device to your computer using a USB cable. There is no need to having your device in Recovery mode. Just press the volume buttons a couple of times so that computer detects your device. Step 6. Once your device is recognized, the flashing will begin automatically. Step 7. Once Flashing is completed, a Green Ring will appear. Tool You May Require - SP Flash Tool Prerequisite - Charge your phone upto 50% and backup the data After updating to the Android version 5.0+ or the latest you can run the DJI app on your phone.
