Hello to everyone!
Firstly, I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year! Have health, be good and last but not least be creative!
I am Filippos Sdralias, a young C.S. student from Greece. I was during to my first years at the university when I first heard and saw a drone. It didn't take long for me to like them and start learning about them, their development and usage. Determined to get one on my hands and fly it, I managed to purchased the Dji Spark with my savings! From the time I checkout until receiving it I was flying to the sky!
"When I received it I was amazed by its small size and its build quality. "
But then, I started becoming anxious, wondering "How can I fly it?", "What if I drop it...?", etc. After reading the User Manual, watching tutorial on YouTube I was determined to fly it! Well, it turned out that it is extremely easy to fly it! Piece of cake! Later, in 2018, I was lucky enough to win a scholarship from my University (University of Piraeus & Hellenic Drones). This scholarship was about learning how to fly safe, according to the law of my country (& what to do to other countries).
When the tutor started to explain us how many factors, things and etc we have to consider before, during and after flying the drone I got so anxious and frightened to fly ever again one.
Thankfully, the tutors and the program were amazing, full of information, guidelines and tips you should follow for flying safe. Succeeding and getting the certification of the UAV Pilot was my goal and after hours of reading and practicing I managed to complet it! Nowadays, I am a certified UAV Pilot and about to complete my studies on Computer Science at the University of Piraeus.
What I look for 2019 is to make my hobby a joyful and dreamy carreer!
As I do have the passion and meet the requirements, I am keen on seeing what 2019 will bring me! That's my mini story how I got into the drone industry and now I am more than ever determined to stay into! Happy 2019! #KeepFlying
This is the beach of the village I live. The windy conditions of that day didn't hinder me of flying my little Spark and results were quite captivate!
This is a small project of a primary school in Oropos, for bullying in school . The children form the following sentence in Greek:
"Όχι στη Βία, Μίλα, Μη Φοβάσαι"
which means "no to violence, speak, don't be afraid".
