I haven't received my Osmo Pocket yet but while I'm waiting for it, I was thinking about what mobile devices I could use with it. Has anyone tried to use the iPad Mini 4? Or shoould I stick with my Galaxy S8+ ?

Yes, it is OK with the Mini, but you need a extension cord. Direct to the Mini don’t work cos of the gimbal. S8 has a USB-C ? - yes...

Yeah it will be fine, but turn it on before connecting as the gimbal will keep smacking of the side of the iPad .

Thanks. I ordered a pyg-tech holder, it looked like the best one I could find on Amazon. Plus pyg-tech has a great reputation.

IT works fine with my iPad mini 4..  I don't really shoot with it connected to the iPad.. but I shoot with the pocket and then plug it into the iPad to view the pictures on the larger screen.

You can use the IPad with the wireless adaper and connect that way as if you plug it into the side the gimbal will hit the edge or you can use an extention cable
