I live in Spain and I already own a Mavic Air, so I don’t need a Spark 2 with 3-axes gimball, 4K or 20 minutes fligth time. I just need a Spark under 250grs. Leave it just as it is, but a little lighter. I’ m afraid  the only way to get this is by trimming the battery, but I don’t mind to lose flight time if I can use my drone in urban areas thanks to under 250grs regulation.

I had hope to get today news for a new drone under 250g but seems not my day.
When will they announce a spark 2 250g??
I give them until end of moth for a new announcement and otherwise I'll purchase sowhere else...

I'm holding off buying at the moment and just using my friends spark. The weight isn't an issue for me, improved flight time and better connection with folding arms would be great.

I don't think there is any way they would upgrade the Spark.. or even anything in their consumer line-up.  It would spill into Mav 2 and P4P territory.  I've just compared the imaging of the 3 drones and they do scale up so the Price points are Good.  I don't think they should really change anything and the competitors cannot compete. Nothing is As smooth as the DJI drones.

I second that. Ocusync. it would be much safer to fly the Spark.

Less weight would be nice but not at the expense of less flight time. It's already short.

Good if you can change battery for lightweight depend what you need at the moment

Dji is the market leader in this field,  if other can make it then definitely Dji as a market leader they can make it in a far better way IMO

Carbon fiber is a no go, WiFi signals loose a lot of signaal penetrating carbon fiber, and 2. 4ghz and 5.8ghz is even worse

Why would DJI make another Mavic Air, just with a different name? Where's the logic in that?

In my opinion spark as it is with extended battery and diferent camera would be supernice,i dont care bout the weight  ,cost 5 bux to register the damn drone.

Under 250 grams, may have fly height restrictions in some areas, such as 30 metres or below.

Hello, the transmission could be improved, or it may be possible to use a better remote, because I am a Dji MAVIC MINI user and I know that the transmission is a minus on the Spark compared to the Dji MAVIC MINI.  Thanks for understanding and I hope a Spark 2 will be released.
