To my knowledge, the only screen where the calibrate compass option is visible is on the aircraft status screen.
When you first turn everything on, you'll see that status screen. Once it's gone the only way I know to get it back is to tap on the message in the very top center of the screen. That's where the message appears like: "aircraft warming up," or "safe to fly/GPS" etc. Tap that message and the status screen will open again - then you can tap on the calibrate button.
Mine is somewhat "balky." A message comes up that says something like:
"Step 1 Hold the aircraft horizontally and make a complete 360 degree turn....."
I do that and then it seems like it takes forever before it moves on to Step 2 where you turn the thing nose down and rotate again. I've often ended up going through both steps two even three times before it registers the fact that the compass has been calibrated.
Maybe I'm expecting it to go too quickly. |
