Hi drone people! My Spark was critially low on battery and started to perform an auto-land, which wasn't good i was flying it over tall trees. I tried to cancel the landing but it wouldn't comply and I ended up hitting some trees as I tried to get it home. Shouldn't it have executed a Return To Home? Anyway, I found it and it looks fine, however now it reports Error 40001: Downward Vision Sensor Error. I tried flying it and it just won't stay still in the air. I'm really unhappy. I have done a sytstem reset and reinstaleld the Fimware, but this hasn't helped.

Has anyone had this issue before, and how did you deal with it? If you had DJI repair it, then what did they charge?

flip the drone over look at the sensor below see if the glass is cracked or dirty. but it sounds like you will have to send that in for service

Be careful I think the proximity sensor is disable when the Spark perform RTH.

next time:
you can't cancel a critical batterie landing
even in RTH it will stop moving forward and start to land where it is
however, you can override the descent and keep it in the air with pushing the  throttle up and fly it to a safer place or even back home
that way you can(could) keep it in the air till the batterie dies!
